Imbi Palace Group Rebranding Dinner @ Grand Palace

I was invited to the launch of Imbi Palace Group Rebranding Dinner @ Grand Palace, Pavilion. It was an honour as I get to try a brand new menu of mouth-savouring yummy dishes.

Yummy-licious menu of dishes served at the dinner!

First dish… 

Double Boiled Cordyceps Flower with Top Shell & Fish Maw (RM28.00)

Healthy & nutritious, this soup helps improve skin complexion, nourishes our Yin, & cleanses kidney. This soup is naturally sweet with a tinge of bitterness, yet smells so fragrant. The fish maw & cordyceps are delightfully chewy *I love biting onto chewy stuff*

Second dish…

Crispy Golden Peking Duck (RM70.00)

There is no other place to find better or crispier duck than what Imbi Palace Group served (unless you fly all the to China just to have a bite of crispy Peking duck as good as this). Just have a look, but don’t drool all over your keyboard or tablet!

And there’s even live demonstration of the chef himself serving the duck!

Lol~ funny chef unsure if he should look right & left (there’s so many cameras around him).

Chef: “Err… photographers can faster? I’m confused.”

Chef looks so happy when he finally gets to slice the crispy creature up!

He looks a bit like Elmer, if you ask me!

Chef: “Wuhoo… I’m slicing you in pieces, Daffy!”

Delightful looking Peking Duck served before our eyes!

Take the skin and meat, add some scallion or spring onions & specially prepared hoisin sauce and wrap it in the home-made thin pancakes called ‘Momo’.

Third heavenly dish…

Pan Fried Stuffed Scallops (RM14.00)

The scallops are shipped all the way from the icy cold waters of Canada! Stuffed with Banana Prawns from the Gulf of Carpenteria, this scallop is crispy on the top while fresh & succulent from within!

Mamamia… I’m so greedy, wish I can grab the scallops from the rest of the girls on my table & stuffed them all in my mouth all at once *fantasizing*

Fourth dish… 

8 Treasures Truffles Chicken (RM80.00)

This chicken is prepared by stuffing 8 different types of mushrooms that has been infused with truffle sauce. With crispy skin, this chicken gives out the best aroma that seduced my palate with mouth-watering sensations.

Fifth dish…

BBQ Broiled Spanish Pork Ribs (RM158.00)

Ribs, whole-heartedly grilled to the perfection is totally what makes my tummy grumble. Ribs from Spanish Iberian pig, it has an uniquely tender, rich and rosy meat.

I held on to the piece of long rib with both hands, biting on it’s succulent & chewy texture while leaving trails of sauce down my fingers & wrists… it’s the best ribs I ever had. I know, I ate in a barbaric way, but the ribs are just too good to be eaten in a polite manner!

Sixth dish…

South African Dried Abalone (Promo – RM 88.00 per piece)

Here comes the Abalone! Harvested from the unpolluted seas off the coast of Hermanus,  it is totally tender to the bite with natural sweetness in the center *mind-blown*

This is the 18-head abalone (a unit measurement in the chinese kitchen)-  which means you get 18 pieces per 600 gram!

They normally sell this for RM168, but for within the promotion period, it is now only RM88 per piece – come grab while stocks last!

Seventh dish…

LanZhou Knife Shaved Ramen (RM10.00)

If you read my previous blogs, you’ll know how much I love noodles! Here’s the master at his best *flip flip*

Hand made & shaved, here’s the yummy noodles in pickled vegetable soup!

Eight Dish….

Braised Noodle with Duck Meat (RM18.00)

 Braised with shreds of peking duck meat & vegetables, nothing beats this yummy-licious holy dish!

Ninth Dish…

Coconut Pudding (RM8.00)

Coconut pudding… the signature dessert of the Imbi Palace Group *jumps in excitement*


Imagine, pudding in coconut! Awww…. both of the things I love in one! It’s like morphing at its best *rubs belly*

Ninth Dish (desserts continued)…

Snow-skin Mooncakes with white lotus seed paste from Hong Kong!

Best of all, few lucky of each of us get to bring a whole mooncake home as souvenirs!
